Adventures of a College Sophomore
Monday came so quick this week. I cannot believe my classes had started. I had an awesome first weekend. My roommate and I went to the Panther Bash and met a lot of people. It was such a good way to start out my first weekend. I met so many people, and got to know even more. The dorms have been going really good, its been a really weird adjustment, to go back and not have someone there waiting on you. I have enjoyed my roommate a lot, it has made things so much easier that we get a long so well. Monday I went to my first classes and I was so nervous. I had that fear, in the back of my mind of going into the wrong class and looking completely lost. I finally got to my first class and once it started everything came together. I like the way my schedule is set up. I was excited for Tuesday and Wednesday to come. I wanted to see what else my classes had for me. It has been a whole new experience, and change from high school.
Durning my senior year I felt like I was treated so much differently, and I probably was but high school has no comparison to college. There is just something about college that is so much more appealing. You are actually an adult. In high school you are considered to be an adult, but some how your not treated the same. I loved my senior year of high school, it was one the best time I have ever had, but my freshman year of college is going to be even better than I could have ever imagined.
I was terrified of my classes being so overwhelming with homework and other things, but as the week has went on i realized that its really not that bad. Of course you have to stay on top of everything, but I realized I wasn't going to have to spend all eterinity in my dorm room glued to my computer. I realized I could go out and enjoy time with friends during the week, and still have enough time to get all my classes in and studied for. Not working was probably the best thing for me when it comes to having time to do everything. I have free time and I can always find productive ways to fill it. I can't stand to be board, so if I'm in my dorm and I can't find anything to do, I call up a friend, or go to the WRC and workout. I have met so many people over at the WRC. I also recently discovered that rock climbing is probably one of the hardest things, but it also the funnest. I am now even more in love with UNI.
