It is actually really funny if you think about it. I know I never really worried about money when I was in highschool. I knew my parents would always give it to me if I ever needed it. Truth is they still do, but money just doesn't seem like something I think about anymore. I am not working so, I don't make money and therefore, I am really cheap. This cheapness is part of a really funny story. My roommate and I were thirsty, but of course didn't have any cash at all. So we decided to go get money at the atm and get something to drink in the senate store. Wrong, senate store doesn't take 20 dollar bills. So what do we do, um...well we walked around all the floors and asked anyone and everyone if they had change for a 20. What were we thinking, if we didn't no one else would, We're all broke. We love going to the dollar store for crying out loud! Since we had failed, we tried to figure out what else we could do. Well the logical thing to do would be to walk to 23rd and Market, use our dining dollars and buy something. But due to the fact that it is completely FREEZing that was not an option, yep we're lazy. We then decided to go back to the dorm and find any change we had. We only needed $0.85, but thats a lot when all you have is pennies, dimes and nickels. We had no laundry money, so here we are going through our purses, and finally we resorted to taking change out of the gumball machine in our room. its really rather sad. After about 10 minutes we found enough money. We ended up paying for our waters with 3 dimes 4 nickels and 15 pennies....that'll teach the senate store not to take 20's!
I also went to a play tonight, it was really cool. They put a lot of work into it. Its a lot different from the highschool plays I have been to. It was fun though. Then of course I went and worked out, I have to make at least one visit to the WRC! I played basketball (not well though) and lifted weights, which of course was comical to all the guys to watch 3 girls try to lift weights...we were totally out of place. Now its just a break from studying. I got really lucky and only had one test this week. Some people had 4 or 5...boo, not fun! I am excited for halloween! My roommate and I are going to decorate our door! Completely going to be the coolest door ever, but I hope the dry erase board thief, doesn't come back, because we really like the stuff on our door, and some how it just keeps dissappearing! who knows...
