Adventures of a College Sophomore

I am so excited that my parents want me to go through with Camp Adventure. They are a little dissappointed that I am only going to be home for a month, but they want me to take this opprotunity and seize it. My dad being very protective and especially over his first child, he is really worried about me being in a different country, and he worries about political issues, but my mom assured me that he knew he had to let me go. I am going to miss them just like i have since I have been up here, but I am so excited to possibly go overseas and to spend my summer, traveling and working with kids. Which are two of my favorite things in the world to do, asside from working out.

Speaking of working out, now i have to start swimming and getting strong in the water. I never knew that swimming was such a workout until I actually did it. I can run for a REALLY long time, but I can't swim. So Heather has taken on the task of helping me swim faster and teaching me how to do the different strokes, as I didn't swim in high school. We go pretty much everynight, and I am really starting to enjoy it. I didn't think I would get as good of a workout from it as I have. Its a lot of fun though, and it is just me getting ready for CAMP AdVenTuRe Heather and I having a little fun, with leaves!!!

Our floor R.A. decided to have a contest to see which side of the hall could decorate their side the best for Halloween. I decided that I was going to go all out, and when I went home my mom and I dug through all our decorations and I also went out and bought some to hang around our room in the hall. Well, my roommate did the same and I am proud to say that we are totally winning. We decorated our room and almost every other person on our side of the hall did the same. It looks awesome. I am so excited for the little kids to come trick-or-treating and see all the decorations in our hallway. I am also on a search to find the movie Hocus Pocus, I finally ordered it and I can't wait to get it back. Although Heather and I drove all around Cedar Falls and Waterloo looking for it.
