Adventures of a College Sophomore

So there is only one week of classes until finals, and as every other college student I am constantly busy! Some of it, I will admit, is due to a little bit of procrastination. I have a quiz and a paper to do this week and then all my finals next week. I am all registered for my classes next semester, and ready to take my summer ones head on! I am also juggling my volunteer work and running. I recently signed up for the Chicago Marathon! I am super pumped about it!

On a little bit of a more somber note, I am praying for all of those affected by the Virginia Tech shootings. I have been watching it closely, because it relates to me in ways I never thought of. I am in college and although I know this was a result of one person and their mind-set, my parents worry about my safety and how UNI addressed the issue! We were sent emails and informed of the university policies dealing with a crisis. I know when something like this happens there are all these what ifs and the that could happen here, but I didn't think that at all. I feel safe here, its a close knit family atmosphere and one I wouldn't change for the world. Campus is small and secluded from lots of traffic and bussle. It made me appreciate UNI that much more!
