Adventures of a College SophomoreNovember 27, 2007Exhausted and Two weeks Left!!I have been really busy and really sick, How did i get so lucky? I am a fighter, I don't give up and I can be defined as a true workaholic. Its in my genes, both my parents and grandparents are the same way. When I'm sick I never let it slow me down. I run no matter what, I have always been that way. Well for the first time in my life it caught up with me! I had a sore throat, and didn't think anything of it until I could hardly swallow and I was clearly running a high fever. So I went to the doctor, got medicine, and thought I was fine. Well my sore throat never went away. So month later when I felt 10 times worse I went to the doctor and found out I had mono. Which means no running and I am extremely tired! Aside from being sick, the semester is coming to a close nicely. I am working really hard and keeping my grades right where I want them. I am highly involved in the new Leadership Center being started on Campus. Two of the grad students here are heading it and when I was asked to be involved I jumped at the chance. It is such a great way for me to use the skills I learned this summer. With the Leadership Center, students participate in workshops, each focusing on a specific topic. There are workshops for everything from your leadership style, to time management. The first workshop was two weeks ago, and it turned out really well. Hopefully as the word gets out we can draw more and more people into it.
