1. Light provides reducing power in the reduction of nitrite to ammonia
2. The growth rate of CAM plants is limited by the number of hours of Calvin cycle the plant can do in a day, which is limited by the size of the vacuole.
3. Oxidative respiration provides intermediate compounds, plus reducing power...along with sometimes heat.
4. Plants with low light compensation points are low light plants. Otherwise they'd be below the LCP too much of the time to grow. Falling photosynthesis rates at high light intensities indicate either photoprotection effectively lowering light intensity driving photosynthesis, or it could be due to damage to the photosystems (usually PSII).
5. Low water potential results in less active enzymes, closed stomates, smaller shoots and dropped leaves, among other responses.
