Easter Morning

On the day that Jesus was put to death, two robbers were also crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. One criminal used his last breath to curse Christ and revile him for letting them die. The other criminal confessed his misdeeds and acknowledged Jesus as Lord. Ultimately, both men died on that hill, but the one who accepted Christ was freed from the darkness of death.

I think there is a lesson for all of us here. We are all dying. Some of us are closer to our day of suffering than others, but our lives will end. Yet just like the criminals on Calvary, we have a choice to make. We can mock Jesus and complain about our lot, or we can ask God for forgiveness and receive a new beginning. There's no better time to decide than Easter morning.
