One for the things I hate when traveling is to purchase tickets. For me, this is the most stressful time because price jumps from time to time. Last Thursday I was on the internet looking for some fares and I found affordable tickets to Texas leaving Cedar Rapids for $260 each. When I proceeded to the checkout to pay, a message came up saying sorry for the inconvenience but the fare you are looking at went up by $100. It was unbelievable! But nevertheless, the worst is when you are looking at a fare and the price showing up is not available. This happened to me many times at STA travel. I looked for fares and when I went to buy it, it was not available. So my question is if the price went up or if it is not available why do they still have it on the website? I think this is to make our lives harder and just buy the first thing you see. Other things that really keep me wondering is when they list the peak days and say those days are more expensive than non peak days. This is not always true. I actually bought the tickets, the cheapest that I could find, on the peak days. Go wonder how this could happen. Buying a ticket is like gambling, you never know if what you are betting on is the best price and the most efficient way of purchasing your tickets. Once I purchase my tickets I stop looking at fares, because if I find something cheaper it will make me mad and if you wait too long for the right deal, you end up paying more than you expected.
