The eLearning system will be shutdown from 6:00 - 7:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 1, 2010, to apply configuration changes to the application and database servers.
The Blackboard/WebCT learning management and electronic portfolio applications will not be available during this period.
The eLearning system will be restarted between 6:00-7:00 AM on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, to add an additional node to the application server cluster.

The Blackboard/WebCT learning management and electronic portfolio system will be shutdown Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 5:00 a.m. to apply a service pack to the application. The system will be available by 8:00 a.m.
During this time students, teaching assistants, instructors and designers will not be able to access eLearning for UNI academic courses, administrative departmental courses, Continuing Education and Guided Independent Study courses, Allen College Courses, Camp Adventure courses, National Program for Playground Safety courses or any personal electronic portfolios hosted on the system.
The Central Authentication Service (CAS) is back online as of 7:30, 5 Aug 2010, and CatID authentication is working again. The changes made this morning to the secure socket layer (SSL) certificate have been rolled back.
As of 5:50 AM, there was an outage of the Central Authentication Service (CAS), the method of authentication used for CatID access to MyUNIverse, eLearning and other applications. ITS is looking into the issue now.

Following the maintenance yesterday there is a problem which requires a restart to fix. We will be restarting the application tomorrow morning at 6:00am.
On Friday, July 30th, from 5:00am to 6:00am the UNI MyUniverse System will be unavailable due to system maintenance. This outage will affect only Peoplesoft applications.
Normal power is scheduled to be turned off in CBB 19/21 to allow the data center housed there to be added to the campus metering project. The standby generator will pick up the load during this time. No outage is expected.
The contractor is to perform this work on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 between 8AM
and 9AM.
