2/5/2007 Attention All UNI Electronic Calendar Users
The United States has adopted new dates for daylight-saving time (start: second Sunday in March; end: first Sunday in November). UNI’s electronic calendar software was automatically updated on Feb. 4. This caused a problem, however. Meetings scheduled prior to Feb. 4 that occur between March 11 and April 1, or between Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, are now one hour off. Please check your calendar to ensure your meeting times are correct. This was a one-time change. Any meetings scheduled from this point on will not be affected. ITS apologizes for the inconvenience.
Additionally, if you are using Microsoft Outlook Calendar using the Oracle Connector you will need to apply this Microsoft patch.
Oracle says this:
• Oracle Connector for Outlook users need to make sure to apply the Microsoft DST 2007 timezone patch, otherwise recurring events will be displayed one hour off during the affected times. For more information on the Microsoft patch, please refer to the Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:
