12/7/2008 Major Computer System Outage Sunday

IBM will be applying hardware maintenance on the mainframe CPU December 7 from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m. The IBM mainframe (QWS3270) application transactions (SI12, SI70, RS04, SI19, CVBH, etc.) which would include Cashiering, Admissions, Accounts Receivable, Financial Aid, Registrar's, Public Safety, Residence, and all Web services for registering, instant transcripts, degree audits, parking permits, etc. will be affected by the outage.

Barb Charley will notify all IBM mainframe users by e-mail when the mainframe system is available after the above outages.

12/12/2008 MEMFIS Outage for Upgrade on December 12-15, 2008

The MEMFIS system will be undergoing its annual fall upgrade this weekend (December 12-15). As a result the MEMFIS system will be unavailable from 5pm Friday, Dec. 12th through 8am Monday, Dec. 15th . If you have problems following the outage, please contact the ITS Help Desk at ITS-Consult@uni.edu or 319-273-5555.

12/27/2008 Major Computer System Outage, All CatID Systems (Email, etc.)

The Collaboration Suite team needs an estimated eight hour maintenance window to perform a database upgrade and increase space for email recovery, there will be an outage on Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 12:01 AM to 8:00 AM. This outage will affect *all* applications authenticating with CatID including E-Mail, MyUNIverse, eLearning (WebCT) and mainframe QWS3270 transactions.

1/3/2009 eLearning (Blackboard/WebCT) Outage on Saturday

The Blackboard/WebCT learning management and electronic portfolio system will be shutdown Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 5:30 a.m. to upgrade the database to Oracle 10.2.0.4. The outage is scheduled to last until 11:30 a.m, but the upgrade may be completed and system available before that time.
