April 20, 2007New Rod Library Digital Collections

The site currently consists of four main sections.
1. "UNI Historical Collections" contains information related to our university history, including some audio streaming provided by Art/Music, a set of architectural plans for Central Hall from the 1800s, and the first eleven years of UNI's yearbook.
2. "Cedar Valley and Iowa Historical Collections" contains some more audio streaming of the music of some area bands, as well as a history of Cedar Falls.
3. "Research Papers" has the pdf copies of two master's research papers - with more to come!
4. "Selected Digitized Resources" will include materials not fitting in the other categories, and presently contains the pdf issues of three magazines whose publishers do not provide long-lasting access via the Internet.
The contents of the site will continue to grow. Soon, the book "Fifty Years at the Teacher's College" will appear. As well, photographs of the Campanile throughout its history, more master’s research papers, and more issues of the three magazines will be added.
High-quality copies of the images can be obtained from Rod Library.
Click on “About” in the toolbar at the top of the page. The next page contains a link to the library's charges for the copies which Technical Services will provide either by email attachment or on a disk. Please direct any such requests to Jackie Williams at jackie.williams@uni.edu or 273-2860.
