Free Beverages during Finals Week

Rod Library is giving away free beverages during finals week in the library lobby, Saturday - Wednesday (May 3rd - May 7th). Soft drinks, water, and juice will be available beginning at 2:00 p.m. each day until supplies run out. Good luck with your finals!

ReferenceUSA

Rod Library recently subscribed to ReferenceUSA, a residential and business/organization directory. Entries in the residential section include telephone numbers, addresses, and neighborhood home value and household income data. The business/organization section contains contact information and other data such as: estimated sales, credit rating, year established, primary line of business, competitors, and photo of establishment. Non-profit organizations also are included. The search forms can be manipulated to create lists of individuals and companies meeting certain criteria.

ReferenceUSA is listed in UNISTAR, the library catalog, and on the Databases A-Z on the library home page.

National Library Week, April 13 - 19

Rod Library celebrates National Library Week, April 13-19 with National Library Workers Day on Tuesday, April 15, 2008. First observed in 1958, the national observance is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country. The Library Public Relations Committee is showcasing this year’s theme, Join the Circle of Knowledge @ The Rod Library, in the main display case for the month of April.
