Blackwell Synergy ending June 27 - merging with Wiley Interscience

As of Monday, June 30th 2008, all Blackwell journal content—including all full-text HTML and PDF versions of articles from current issues, backfiles, and issues published online before print—will be incorporated into Wiley InterScience.

Blackwell Synergy will close at the end of business (Pacific Standard Time) on Friday June 27th with the migration completed by Monday June 30th. Over the weekend of June 28th and 29th, there will be a period when both Blackwell Synergy and Wiley InterScience will be unavailable during the re-indexing of data.

As of June 30, 2008, all journal content on Blackwell Synergy will be merged into Wiley InterScience. After June 30th, Blackwell Synergy will no longer be available.

Library Catalog and Off Campus Access Update

UNISTAR, our online catalog, will be unavailable from 9:00 p.m. - midnight tonight, June 18th, due to work on our server. Access to databases and to some electronic resources from off-campus will also be affected during this time.

Due to some computer hardware problems any transactions on Friday 6-6-08 may not have recorded correctly. Checked in or renewed items may still appear on your library account. If you believe you have returned/renewed an item and it is not correctly listed on your library account please contact the circulation desk at 319-273-2462.

Off-Campus Access to Databases Out

Access to our research databases from off campus is currently not functioning. After submitting a login and password the system returns a "502 Bad Gateway" for each of the databases. We anticipate restoring off-campus access this evening by 10:00 PM. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Panther Prowler Service Work This Afternoon

Due to work on our servers, Panther Prowler metasearching will be unavailable from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. today, Monday June 2nd.

This affects metasearching via Panther Prowler only. While Panther Prowler is down you may still search for articles by going directly to individual databases. Click on the names of the databases on the Databases A-Z list to begin searching.
