UNISTAR Library Catalog Offline from 10-noon

UNISTAR, our online library catalog, will not be available from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon today, May 28th in order for some required maintenance to occur.

The library's databases will also be unavailable from off-campus during this time. Patrons may still use the databases from a computer located on the UNI campus, such as in a faculty office, inside the library, in computer centers, in residence halls, etc.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Accessing Databases Memorial Day Weekend

Many of the SilverPlatter databases are changing to a new interface, OvidSP. During the transition, searchers will be able to get to these databases through the main Panther Prowler link. Look below the list of subjects on that page, and click on a database name to search. They are also available through search of the database titles in UNISTAR.

Temporarily, the databases below will not be available through the regular Databases A-Z page, but will be available through the two methods listed above:

Applied Science & Technology Abstracts
Art Abstracts
Biological Abstracts
GeoRef
GPO
Library Literature & Info Science
Mental Measurements Yearbook
Philosopher's Index
PyscINFO
Social Work Abstracts

Metasearching for the new interfaces will become available soon after Memorial Day.
