My Homecoming experience - OOOhh yeah that sounds good, all I can remember is the whole week was filled with purple fun and excitement. I like the tradition of Homecoming - the Purple Pride day, pep rally, the football game and campaniling. As usual the Homecoming week has a lot of tests and exams, I guess that is a tradition too..Lol. The most exciting is the weekend with the fireworks, campaniling, tailgating and the Big game. The fireworks are usually after the pep rally and this time the
fireworks went on for a really long time. This year my ride throughout the homecoming week was my friend Joe's pick up. We were a around 10 people in a pick up going around campus and it was a bash because all of them in the truck were international students from different countries except for the driver and the navigator Abbey. We went to the important event (Campaniling), which is fun to see a lot of people around you, embracing each other. That wasn't the end; it was my good friend Kaylan's birthday so I went along with others to Main Street to celebrate. On Saturday it was time for the Homecoming parade and since I'm a member of the International Student Association (ISA), I was participating the parade. The parade was a fun ride through Cedar Falls, we were playing music and some of the international students giving out candy. In the afternoon it was time for tailgating so we went out to the Dome parking lot and got together with a few UNI alums. It was fun to see all my friends back for homecoming. The highlight of the whole evening was talking to the President of UNI on the hill and taking a picture with him.
