Sunny Side of Campus

I had a very unique experience on Tuesday; I got to travel to Des Moines to Allied Insurance, as Allied was having a Cross Cultural event. This event is organized to educate students about their company and their distinctive summer internships. This is my second time to this event and last year after this event I got opportunity to take part in their internship program. Their internship program is one of a kind of an experience, last summer I worked as a Quality assurance analysist. This gave me a rare opportunity to look at how the company works and how they treat their employers.
This week on Monday I got to meet the Executive Cabinet of UNI. The meeting was organized by NISG to help the diverse group at UNI and to listen to their side of UNI. Some of the major issues were addressed at this meeting and some task forces were set up. At UNI everyone is involved on campus and every student involved plays a very important role.
