Sunny Side of Campus

The canoeing trip was organized by the ICBS club as one of their yearly fun activities at Chris ‘s farm, where the West fork of the Cedar flows through. It was the first time I had gone canoeing and my expectations on this trip were high. At first we started of the trip down the river by spraying our self with a lot of bug spray , since this was my first time I decided not to take a dip in the water. So I rode with my buddy Cody who in his three years of canoeing has never fallen into the water. So in the capable hands of my buddy we started canoeing down the West Cedar. It was all fun and games until one the canoe started heading into trees and then capsized with both my friends in water. We just couldn’t stop laughing as they both were doomed to fall into the water anytime. As we canoed down the river I was checking for the depth of the river as I m scared of DEEP waters..lol. After a few turns I decided that the water was not very deep and I even if I fell down I would still be able to swim to safety with my life vest. As we reached to the end of our trip near the bridge another canoe capsized as they were trying to get out to the shore. It was nice canoe trip and I think I will do it again.

Coming back to school now, it has being a very busy week or I should say weeks as I have had no break at all. This semester I m taking 16 credits that about 5 classes and working 20 hours a week which takes all my time.
