Indian Dance and the rest of week…

UNI recently hosted the Shakti Dance Company which is a very well known dance company. The performance consisted of intense physical and superbly coordinated footwork from South India’s Bharat Natyam dance tradition, to the deeply luminous technique of Odissi that was performed by temple dancers in Eastern India.......

I did my part too in this event; the event coordinator requested us to help him out at the event. As part of the event we (the Indian students) were requested to dress in traditional Indian clothes.
The event was a blast as it was attended by all the who’s who of cedar falls from U.S senators to almost all of the Indian community. The performance was breathe taking as the dancers performed with at most precision and coordination.
I just got down with all my midterm exams and as I was planning to relax, I had assignments due. I really don’t know when to take a break and just relax with nothing on my mind. I think the only time I will get to do this will be during the week long Thankx Giving break, which will also include a lot of food. Last Monday I went to Lobby for UNI at the State capital in Des Monies. The student body President and Vice President were giving a presentation about credit card solicitation on state owned Universities. These kinds of activities definitely make college life interesting.
