Sunny Side of CampusFebruary 18, 2008Winter Wonderland (IOWA)Well its being a terrible 2 weeks as the temperature fluctuates from -15 F to +30 F. Here is this weeks forecast - Last weekend was awesome to look at from inside but definitely not to go outside and drive. At first we had freezing rain and then it snowed for about 6 hours. That was not it, there was snow blowing all over and we had winds up too 20 mph The weekend before that I went to visit my summer roommate Bill at Iowa City as he goes to University of Iowa.
The day after that we went to Chicago as my friends from France and Russia wanted to visit the windy city. Chicago is just a 5 hour commute from UNI, so are other cities such as Madison, Wisconsin; Kansas City, Kansas; Omaha, Nebraska and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Chicago is always being a popular destination for international students from UNI for its history and beauty. Chicago is one of the most popular destination for shopping; shopping on Michigan Ave which runs parallel to the famous Lake shore dr. You have shops from GAP to Armani Exchange; you also have some good places to eat such as Pizzeria UNO. The original Chicago style, deep dish pizza. This pizza is so big that four of us could not finish the whole pizza. We also went to the Chicago Aquarium which is pretty big and I saw dolphins for the first time….
This is what happens when you are really bored in Cedar Falls ( Behind me is the frozen lake)
