         <title>URGENT MESSAGE for Oracle Calendar Users</title>
         <description><![CDATA[If you are an Oracle Calendar user and you wish to save calendar entries that will be purged from the database read more.

ITS announcement 7/17/07:
On July 31, all Calendar entries prior to July 1, 2005 will be purged from the system as part of the maintenance that is performed on the Calendar database.  If there are entries prior to July 1, 2005 that users wish to keep, they can export them from the Calendar server using the export command within the Calendar client.

         <description>Tonight the A&amp;F servers will be patched and rebooted.  This will occur at 10:15 PM.  Please save your work and log off before that time. Downtime is expected to last no longer than 20 minutes.

The following resources will be unavailable during the reboot:

- Local email folders in Thunderbird
- Crimestar
- Key system
- Ticket Trak
- A&amp;F web sites

Desktop patching occurs at approximately 2:00 AM. </description>

         <title>Patch Tuesday</title>
         <description><![CDATA[Tonight we will be patching Servers and Workstations.  Servers will be unavailable between 10:30 - 10:50 PM tonight.  Workstations will download patches and reboot around 3:00 AM.

Please save your work and log off before that time.

Those users that have PGP installed please leave your computer at the login screen and <b>do not</b> shut down tonight.

         <title>Special patch night 4/3/2007</title>
         <description><![CDATA[Microsoft is releasing a special patch tonight to address the vulnerability in <a href="http://secunia.com/advisories/24659/">Windows Animated Cursor Handling</a>.  Attacks against this vulnerability are up recently so Microsoft is pushing this update earlier than the usual monthly patch cycle.

Because of that, the A&F servers and desktops will be patched and rebooted tonight.  This will occur at 10:30 PM.  Please save your work and log off before that time. Downtime is expected to last no longer than 20 minutes.

Those users that have PGP installed, please leave your computer at the login screen and <b>do not</b> shut down tonight. (just tonight)

         <title>Campus Moves - Email Link Error</title>
         <description>On Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:18 am a message was sent out saying a move date had been set for a specific move.  The link in this email was incorrect and linked users to the test site, not the production site.  The links have now been fixed and a new email will be sent out at some point today.</description>
